The Account Executive position is responsible for new and renewal business opportunity across the Mountain West, specifically within the Utah marketplace where this position will be located. This is an exciting opportunity to join an excellent organization and team with the opportunity to focus in an important, growing market for MetLife.
The position will manage a number of key broker relationships and local clients in the state of Utah. Eligible candidates must be located within a commutable distance of Salt Lake City, UT.
- Identify, develop, and grow client relationships by selling and upselling Group Benefits products and services through brokers in the 2,000 up-to-4,999 life group benefits market, leveraging MetLife's full suite of offerings to deliver comprehensive, multi-product solutions.
- Develop and execute strategic sales approaches based on buying influences, risk factors, and client business objectives, recognizing and shaping profitable deals that create mutual value for clients and MetLife.
- Build lasting relationships with existing clients and brokers through proactive communication, financial consultation, and strategic account planning, partnering with Client Services to identify and capture growth opportunities within assigned territory.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Client Services, Legal, Enterprise Relationship Management, and Finance to deliver seamless client experiences from sale through implementation.
- Track and report on sales activity, prospecting progress, and pipeline strategies to drive consistent performance against territory goals.
- 2 years previous experience successfully selling/servicing related products.
- Ability to attain appropriate licensing as required including Life & Health and Property & Casualty licenses or obtain within six months of hire.
- Excellent partnership, communication, negation, influencing, and presentation skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in Group Benefits.
- Strong financial acumen around product earning.
- Bachelor's degree of higher.
The expected salary for this position is $50,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
