What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehab Tech - PRN 3-11 Shift - Stroke Unit (2702) position at Methodist Rehabilitation?

Ensuring that patients arrive to Therapies on time

Assist with ADL's which include toileting, bathing, eating, etc.

Assess and record vitals, assist with transporting patients to and from Therapies, and other duties as assigned

Responsible for assisting the licensed nurses in the performance of delegated nursing procedures and functional rehabilitation tasks for which the assistant has been trained at either a basic or advanced level to meet rehabilitation patient’s needs.
Requirements:

Must work a minimum of 24 hours every 4 weeks, which can be:

3 (8-hour) shifts, or
-
2 (12-hour) shifts

At least 1 shift (minimum 8 hours) must be a weekend shift (Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM)

Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 holiday shifts per year, including at least 1 major holiday (Christmas, Thanksgiving, or New Year’s)

High school education or equivalent required

CNA, Nursing Assistant or Therapy Tech training and/or satisfactory previous experience required

Satisfactory completion of MRC rehabilitation orientation and advanced training programs for rehab tech/nursing assistant required once the employee has been hired

***Although this position does not require certification, it does require at least 1 year on direct, hands-on patient care.***
