Key Responsibilities
- Implement, and enforce comprehensive projectspecific safety programs and policies.
- Conduct regular jobsite safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments; recommend and track corrective actions.
- Partner with project management and field leadership to integrate safety into daily operations and planning.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and nearmisses; prepare detailed reports and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal safety regulations, and company standards.
- Lead newhire orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training for employees and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, coordinate drills and sitespecific preparedness activities.
- Manage safety documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping systems with accuracy and consistency.
- Interface with regulatory agencies, inspectors, and clients regarding safety matters.
- Promote open communication and accountability to foster a proactive, safetyfirst culture across the project.
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate jobsite safety risks.
- Implement and maintain effective safety policies and procedures.
- Perform thorough incident investigations focused on continuous improvement.
- Deliver ongoing safety training and communication to reinforce expectations.
- Collaborate regularly with project teams to ensure safety is fully integrated into operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- OSHA 30Hour Certification (required).
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in construction, industrial, or corporate environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage all levels of the organization.
- Ability to lead safety meetings and training sessions effectively.
- Safety certifications such as CSP, CHST, or CIH are preferred.
