Job Summary
Responsible for configuring, deploying, and administering Linux-based systems across physical and virtual environments.
Job Description
• Configure, deploy, and administer Linux-based systems (Red Hat, Rocky, Ubuntu, etc.) in production and non-production environments.
• Assist in installation of software development and engineering tools.
• Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and Linux support projects.
• Produce and maintain configuration and maintenance documentation.
Minimum Requirements
• Strong experience managing and maintaining Linux-based infrastructure.
• Strong experience implementing Linux infrastructure hardening (STIGs, etc.).
• Strong experience identifying and remediating vulnerabilities (STIGs, scans, etc.).
• Experience with centralized management of Linux infrastructure (Satellite, Foreman, Ansible, etc.).
• Ability to automate system administration tasks using scripting (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with Windows Domain Integration of Linux infrastructure (LDAP, Active Directory).
• Provide modest-level 24x7 on-call support for key systems.
• DoD 8140 Certification.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain U.S. Government security clearance.
• 7 years of Linux system administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• 7 years of Linux system administration experience.
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with ESS.
• Experience meeting compliance frameworks (NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53).
• Understanding and experience with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program.
• Knowledge of managing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in Linux environments.
