What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse / Forklift Operator position at Metalwyze Inc?
MetalWyze is seeking a detailed-oriented Warehouse Worker to manage the final stage of our production line. You are the last line of defense for quality. You will be responsible for packaging finished metal products, staging orders for delivery, and managing the flow of goods in the warehouse.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving role.
- Must be proficient in operating sit-down forklifts (handling long skids and coils).
- High attention to detail (checking part numbers, counts, and visual quality).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with packaging materials (banding, shrink wrap, protective film, edge protectors).
- Must have a can-do, customer service-first attitude.
MAIN JOB TASKS & REQUIREMENTS
- Package finished metal sheets, trims, and coils for shipment, ensuring they are protected against moisture and transit damage.
- Build custom skids or pallets for odd-sized metal trim as needed.
- Stage finished orders in designated shipping lanes for the drivers.
- Load trucks using forklifts, ensuring weight is distributed correctly and materials are secure.
- Verify counts on picking tickets before releasing orders to shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
- You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.

Wage Range: $25 - $29/hour plus additional benefits. In compliance with applicable law, this range is a good faith estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
