A/P Processor
Metals USA is seeking an A/P Processor in Langhorne (Bucks County) PA. Metals USA is a solid, growth oriented, carbon-steel (plate, beam, tube) distribution center servicing the defense, commercial, construction, aerospace and fabrication industries.
The A/P Processor is responsible for all accounts payable activities in the office to include preparation, review and maintenance of records by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains all accounts payable files to include filing invoices in designated areas and updating vendor information on computer.
- Matches purchase orders with vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and prepares for computer entry on a daily basis.
- Allocates expenses to correct general ledger accounts.
- Prepares all accounts payable checks according to company procedures.
- Mails accounts payable checks with appropriate supporting documentation using postage meter
- Manages postage meter account and supplies as well as security of postage meter.
- Prints all accounts payable reports.
- Monitors all paperwork, invoices, correspondence and verbal communication with vendors.
- Performs end-of-month and year end procedures as required.
- Researches and responds to all accounts payable inquiries in a prompt manner.
- Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of an accounts payable clerk.
- Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
- Adheres to Reliance Steel and Aluminum's Code of Conduct as well as customer confidentiality requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Occupation requires being sedentary less than or equal to 75% of the time (< or = to 6 hours per day)
- Sitting, standing, hearing, talking, handling/fingering, reach outward, reach above shoulder, walk, climb, squat or kneel, bend
- Regularly required to work on multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions
- Lift, carry push and/or pull up to maximum of 25 lbs without assistance.
Work Environment:
May be exposed to some of the following working conditions.

Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Prior order entry experience required.
- Ability to communicate oral & written effectively with both internal & external customers.
- Ability to interface effectively with all departments to foster a success-oriented, deadline driven organization.
- Good analytical & organizational skills, able to make sound decisions utilizing the data at hand.
- Must have basic and proficient accounting and bookkeeping skills.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism & diplomacy to include telephone etiquette.
- Ability to work in high volume, transaction driven environment.
- Ability to adhere to standard office practices and procedures to include filing, customer service, attention to detail, organizational management and time management.
- Computer Literacy to include Microsoft Office Products: Excel and ERP
Metals USA offers a competitive starting hourly rate of $21.50 - $23.00 and benefits plus upward professional growth.
