Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to support our sales team in driving business growth. This is an active sales role, not an administrative or executive assistant position. The ideal candidate will assist in managing client accounts, processing sales orders, sales quotes, handling customer inquiries, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure the onboarding process for the company’s service. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills, with a keen interest in sales and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Support & Coordination:
- Assist the sales team in generating leads, preparing proposals, quotes, and following up with potential clients.
- Maintain and update the customer database (CRM) with accurate and current information.
- Support in the preparation of sales presentations, reports, and contracts.
- Coordinate with internal departments (formulation, production, finance) to ensure seamless execution of sales activities.
- Other tasks and responsibilities that may be requested to support the business initiatives.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Respond to client inquiries via email, phone, or chat in a professional and timely manner.
- Act as point of contact assisting in the onboarding of clients within the services groups of the company (i.e. Formulation, Manufacturing).
- Provide product or service information to potential and existing clients.
- Assist in managing and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.
- Schedule and confirm meetings between clients and sales representatives.
Order Processing & Administrative Tasks:
- Process sales orders, invoices, and quotations accurately.
- Track and monitor order status, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Handle documentation related to contracts, agreements, and pricing negotiations.
- Prepare and maintain reports on sales performance, revenue, and client interactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- 1-3 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative role (preferably in a B2B environment).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), NetSuite and CRM software including HubSpot.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in B2B sales, wholesale, or corporate account management.
- Knowledge of the beverage industry and market trends related to the company’s products/services.
- Familiarity with sales reporting and data analysis.
