Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Manufacturing Estimator located in Houston, TX. The Manufacturing Estimator will be responsible for preparing estimates for CNC machining projects, analyzing blueprints and technical documents, and collaborating with the engineering and production teams. Day-to-day tasks include calculating labor, material, and cost estimates, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in project planning. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Candidate must be willing to help the shop with jobs that they quoted, and must be willing to jump on a machine if necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience with estimating in a manufacturing or CNC machining environment
- First hand experience machining exotic metals such as Inconel, Monel and A286 SS.
- Familiar with machining operations up to 5 Axis Milling and OD Turning and Boring.
- Experience reviewing a Material Test Report and getting material quotes
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents
- Experience estimating run times for milling and lathe operations
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Fusion 360 is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members
- Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus
Compensation
- Pay range is $60,000 - $100,000 dependent on experience
- Schedule is 6am - 4:30pm M-F
- 2 weeks paid vacation to start, after 5 years in the company this goes to 3 weeks
