What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN - Clinic - PRN (As Needed) position at Mesa View Regional?
Responsible for the delivery of patient care by applying skills and techniques common to the practice of vocational nursing. The Licensed Practical Nurse functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician of Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant and performs tasks related to patient care. The LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiatives and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/provider. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about changes in patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in conditions or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties with adequate supervision. All other duties as assigned as appropriate given the scope of duties.
Education: College completion of a Licensed Professional Nursing Certificate.
Experience: Two (2) years of LPN experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Current LPN Licensure in the state of Nevada. BLS required.
