Job Summary:
- The Facilities Maintenance Tech is responsible for assigned areas and equipment and performs any duty/task that pertains to maintaining and protecting the facility and persons within.
- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment in compliance with hospital policies and procedures; operates hand and power tools to make repairs in a safe manner.
- Has good working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance; resolves and/or reports safety and security hazards and/or concerns; identifies, intervenes and resolves violent or potentially violent situations and responds to all "Code Green" events.
- Secures doors and patrols the facility and grounds at specified times to ensure a safe campus.
- This position is to function under the supervision of the Director of the Plant Operations Department.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- CPI training within 3 months of hire.
- Equipment certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 2 (two) years' experience.
