We’re partnering with a highly respected, mission-driven private foundation focused on strengthening and investing in Jewish life and community – locally, nationally, and globally.
As the organization continues to grow, they’re seeking an experienced Operations Director to serve as a key strategic partner to the Executive Director and help ensure the organization runs with excellence, alignment, and intention.

What You’ll Do:
This is a high-impact, highly visible role overseeing the full scope of internal operations. As Director of Operations, you will:
- Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership, helping drive organizational alignment and effectiveness
- Oversee core operational functions including finance, HR, IT, compliance, and grant administration
- Manage and collaborate with external partners (accounting, HR, IT, legal) and internal staff
- Lead operational planning for board meetings, retreats, and events
- Strengthen systems, processes, and workflows with an eye toward continuous improvement
- Ensure a high-functioning, welcoming, and well-run office environment
- Support a positive, mission-driven culture that reflects Jewish values and community connection
Who You Are:
You thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment and enjoy being the operational backbone of an organization. You bring both strategic thinking and strong execution.
- 10 years of relevant experience across operations, finance, HR, IT, or similar areas
- Strong familiarity with and lived connection to the Jewish communal landscape
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- A natural collaborator with excellent judgment and discretion
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working across functions
- Experience working closely with external vendors/consultants
- Experience communicating closely with Boards and liaising with various stakeholders
- A dynamic leader and supportive mentor
- Strong systems thinker who enjoys building and improving processes
- An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to embrace organized chaos is a plus

Salary : $160,000 - $200,000
