Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Direct all operations of the skilled nursing facility, ensuring high-quality resident care and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide leadership and oversight across clinical services, human resources, finance, operations, and support services.
- Ensure policies and procedures are implemented effectively and consistently throughout the organization.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Maintain full compliance with all regulatory requirements governing skilled nursing facilities.
- Lead preparation for surveys and inspections and ensure continuous survey readiness.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans when compliance issues arise.
Financial & Strategic Management
- Manage the facility’s operating budget and ensure fiscally responsible operations.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement strategies to achieve financial stability.
- Oversee budget development, reimbursement management, and cost control initiatives.
Team Leadership & Workforce Development
- Recruit, mentor, and support department directors and facility leadership.
- Establish clear expectations, performance metrics, and accountability systems across all departments.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and resident-centered care.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a visible and professional representative of the facility within the community.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, referral partners, community organizations, and local stakeholders.
- Participate in community events and initiatives that support the organization’s mission and reputation.
Facility Operations & Infrastructure
- Oversee the physical plant and coordinate capital improvement projects and facility upgrades.
- Ensure the facility maintains a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Work closely with corporate leadership to plan and execute operational initiatives and expansion efforts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Active, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator license in the applicable state.
- Minimum 5–7 years of leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment.
- Demonstrated success managing complex facility operations, including regulatory compliance and survey readiness.
- Experience overseeing large interdisciplinary teams and multiple operational departments.
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, budgeting, and financial management.
- Proven ability to lead organizational change and improve operational performance.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working within a management company or multi-facility healthcare organization.
- Experience managing facilities with large, diverse workforces.
