The RN Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing resident care during the night shift, supervising nursing staff, ensuring compliance with clinical standards, and promoting a safe, supportive environment for residents and employees.
Duties
- Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shift
- Assess residents and respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Coordinate resident care with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and clinical guidance to nursing staff
- Respond to emergencies and resident concerns promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Charge nurse or supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Commitment to providing high-quality resident-centered care
