Job Skills / Requirements
A Utility Worker is responsible for providing support services to ensure facilities, equipment, and work areas are maintained in clean, safe, and operational condition. Duties may vary depending on the industry and site needs but generally include performing general cleaning, maintenance support, setup tasks, and assisting other departments as needed.
Utility Workers are expected to be flexible, dependable, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and operational support.
- Job Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Performing general cleaning and sanitation of facilities, restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and workspaces.
- Collecting and disposing of trash and recycling in designated areas.
- Assisting with floor care services, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction.
- Supporting special projects such as deep cleaning, event setups, emergency cleanups, and water extraction services.
- Transporting supplies, equipment, and materials throughout the facility.
- Restocking cleaning supplies, paper products, and other essential inventory items.
- Operating cleaning equipment and tools in accordance with safety procedures and company standards.
- Reporting maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damages, or supply shortages to management.
- Following company policies, safety regulations, and site-specific procedures at all times.
- Assisting supervisors, custodial staff, or maintenance teams with additional tasks as assigned.
- Maintaining professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail while ensuring quality service delivery.
*Requirements*
- Must have a valid CA driver license.
- Must be bilingual in Spanish/ English ( Able to understand, speak, write, follow directions, and manage workflow in English.
- Knowledge of basic floor care duties.
