Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing, and frequently lift and/ or moving a minimum of 50 lbs. of office and facilities equipment and trash and the ability to safely use equipment provided. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met and by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally or regularly required to perform the following repetitive movements:
- Sitting, walking, standing, bending (neck), bending waist), squatting, climbing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, twisting (neck), twisting (waist), and talking or hearing.
- Repetitive use of hands to finger, arms (left and right) for:
- Simple grasping
- Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Fine manipulation
- Pushing
- Pulling
- Reaching (above and or below shoulder level with hands and arms)
- Lifting and Carrying object(s) from floor, table, and shelves overhead or distance.
- Working around equipment and machinery
- Walking on uneven ground
- Exposure to noise
- Exposure to dust, gas, fumes, cleaning products, and noise
- Working at heights
- Working with biohazards such us:
- Bloodborne pathogens
- Sewage
- Hospital waste and others.
- Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 25 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects
- Indoor/outdoor work environment with exposure to weather extremes.
