Job Overview:

We are looking for a responsible custodian to maintain and protect our facilities.

The internal appearance of a building is reflected on the occupants. It is important for a custodian, or janitor, to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises, as well as preventing vandalism. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep. They will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.

Responsibilities
Cleans hard floor using appropriate methods such as vacuuming, sweeping and mopping. Move chairs, trash receptacles, or other easily moveable items to maintain floors underneath these items.

Wet mop non-carpeted floors to include entrances, vestibules, lobbies, stairways, landings and risers. Ensures that underneath easily moveable items are mopped.

Vacuums and cleans interior floor mats, area and throw rugs. Ensure that floor mats are free of all visible lint, litter, debris, soil and other foreign matter.

Cleans and polishes all elevator interior walls, guardrails, push plates, elevator buttons, and other such fixtures to present a neat, clean, and shining appearance.

Cleans all interior and exterior entry glass and mirrors and adjacent trims.

Cleans and polishes all decorative metal surfaces, including but not limited to, kick plates, railings, and push plates.

Removes any spillage and marks on adjacent surfaces resulting from applying cleaning agent such as polish.

Collects and disposes of trash from all waste receptacles such as, but not limited to, exterior wastebaskets, trash receptacles, and smoking urns. Remove any trash boxes or debris stacked near the waste receptacles.

Replaces plastic trash bags and can liners at each service occurrence.

Completes non-routine cleaning according to schedule provided by the Manager

Handles emergency cleaning and upkeep requests

Skills

Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role

Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances

Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components

Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices

Attention to detail and conscientiousness

Very good physical condition and strength

High school diploma is preferred.

Other Requirements:

Must be able to pass Clear background.

Must have a real Nevada ID

Must be U.S. Citizen

Must be able to write and read to interpret written manuals and directives.

Must be able to follow oral instructions for the accomplishment of job assignments.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
