What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Support Specialist (& purchasing administrator) position at Mercer County Works?
Global Systems Technologies and ARB LLC is looking for an IT (Information Technology) Support Specialist using AWS (Proponent for DevOps culture.) There may be other skill sets not specified here that the company would find valuable for this position, including non IT skills.
Basic network administration, IT support, and employee helpdesk. An ideal candidate would be comfortable taking the initiative to support the companys employees on common IT problems such as Outlook not working, slow computers, password resets, etc . The ideal candidate should be a self-learner that is ambitious about growing their career into specializations such as system administration, network administration, cyber security, and supporting developers Need a self motivated individual that can learn, and achieve cyber-security compliance.
Familiar with or comfortable growing their knowledge in network administration for the following skill:
Troubleshoot and fix general desktop computer issues. (Certificates such as CompTIA A helpful.)
Knowledgeable with current techs to look for when buying a computer. (E.g. CPU, RAM, video cards, hard drives, etc.)
Renewing SSL certificates on custom servers.
TCP/IP
AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) - Subnets, Security Groups, Network ACLs, Internet Gateways, DHCP option sets, Virtual Private Gateways, Site-to-Site VPN Connections, Elastic IPs, Transit Gateways.
Familiar with AWS debugging tools such as VPC Reachability Analyzer, Network Manager - Network Access Analyzer.
Responsible for purchase orders for contract materials.
