Job Summary
Performs diagnostic, therapeutic, and biopsy ultrasound procedures under supervision and medical direction. Ensures patient safety by verifying identity, documenting data, and adhering to safety protocols. Prepares sterile fields, assists radiologists during procedures, captures images, and operates ultrasound equipment. Maintains equipment, supplies, and cleanliness of work areas. Provides compassionate patient care, explains procedures, and supports patient safety measures. Acts as part of resuscitation teams during emergencies and shares on-call duties across facilities. Mentors new staff and students, pursues continuing education, and attends departmental meetings.

Qualifications
- Minimum two years post-graduate sonography experience or completion of a recognized ultrasound training program.
- Completion of an approved ultrasound training program or one year of related experience.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification and Basic Life Support from AHA.
- Preferred: experience in general, breast, vascular, and obstetrics imaging; certifications in these areas; associate degree.
