Provides intra-operative assistance to surgical teams in ambulatory surgery centers, collaborating with surgeons and healthcare staff to perform advanced nursing care during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities include: Conducting pre-operative assessments, planning care, and coordinating equipment needs; offering technical support during surgery, including handling instruments, tissue, and hemostasis; assisting with patient positioning, preparation, and transfer; maintaining sterile technique; and supporting post-operative care, including dressings and room turnover.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years' intra-operative scrubbing and circulating experience and 1 year as an RNFA or completion of a recognized RNFA course. Must hold an Oregon RN license, ACLS, BLS, and Nurse Operating Room Certification.
Skills: Ability to assist across surgical specialties, excellent communication, sterile technique, and teamwork. Preferred candidates have 2-5 years RNFA experience and CRNFA certification.
