Role: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at a Magnet-designated healthcare organization, supporting a 24-bed Medical Oncology/Palliative Care unit.
Responsibilities: Assist with patient triage, prepare and support patient examinations, administer medications, draw blood, collect laboratory tests, and provide patient education. Work under the supervision of a registered nurse, prioritize critical demands, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care focused on relieving physical, psychosocial, emotional, or spiritual suffering.
Qualifications: Valid LVN license in California, BART or BLS certification (with commitment to obtain within six months), recent acute care LVN experience (minimum 2 years for Sr. LVN), knowledge of universal precautions and proper body mechanics, strong communication skills, initiative, and teamwork ability.
Preferred Skills: ACLS/ART certification, IV therapy certification, experience in medical oncology, palliative care, inpatient acute care, and large healthcare settings.
Additional Conditions: Flexibility to work various hours and locations, passing a criminal background check, and pre-employment physical. Compensation ranges from $78,738 to $97,885 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
