Job Overview
MEMCO Staffing is seeking experienced Licensed Journeyman Plumbers and Apprentice Plumbers to support commercial and residential plumbing projects throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Candidates must be dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to travel to various jobsites across the Valley.
Journeyman Plumbers will perform skilled plumbing installations, repairs, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision, while Apprentices will assist licensed plumbers and gain hands-on experience in the trade.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Journeyman Plumber
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing drawings.
- Perform layout and installation of water, sewer, gas, and drainage systems.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and complete repairs efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes and safety regulations.
- Supervise and provide guidance to apprentices when needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
Apprentice Plumber
- Assist licensed plumbers with installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping systems.
- Load and unload materials and organize tools and equipment.
- Learn to read blueprints and understand plumbing layouts.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Journeyman or Foreman.
Qualifications
Journeyman Plumber
- Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License required.
- Previous commercial and/or residential plumbing experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and plumbing schematics.
- Own basic hand tools and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and travel throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
Apprentice Plumber
- Active Texas Apprentice Plumber Registration required.
- Previous plumbing experience required.
- Willingness to learn and work under the direction of a licensed plumber.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to various jobsites.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
