Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R & Kitchen Equipment Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience servicing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and restaurant kitchen equipment commonly found in fast-food, quick-service, and commercial food-service environments.
Duties & Responsibilities , Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including:
- Rooftop Units (RTUs)
- Split Systems
- Chilled Water Systems
- Boilers
- Chillers
- Hydronic Pumps and Valves
- Troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including:
- Walk-In Coolers
- Walk-In Freezers
- Reach-In Coolers and Freezers
- Refrigerated Prep Tables
- Ice Machines
- Service and repair commercial kitchen equipment, including:
- Pizza Ovens
- Warming Cabinets
- Hot Holding Equipment
- Commercial Ovens
- Food Preparation Equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
- Replace filters, lubricate motors, inspect electrical connections, and maintain system performance.
- Assist with installation and startup of new commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems.
- Respond to emergency service calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and parts inventories.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment conditions, repairs, and recommendations.
- Follow all company safety policies and industry standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment systems.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing:
- Walk-In Coolers and Freezers
- Reach-In Refrigeration Equipment
- Pizza Ovens
- Warming Cabinets
- Commercial Food Service Equipment
- Knowledge of fast-food and restaurant support equipment preferred.
- Experience with low-temperature refrigeration systems and hot-side cooking equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical controls, motors, compressors, and refrigeration cycles.
- Experience with chilled water hydronic systems, pumps, chillers, valves, and controls.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- EPA Certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
