Mele & Mele & Sons, Inc. is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our construction shop operations. The Administrative Assistant will work closely with mechanics, field supervisors, and management to coordinate equipment records, maintenance schedules, and day-to-day administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize equipment records, service logs, and documentation
- Track maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs with shop staff
- Assist with parts ordering, inventory tracking, and vendor communication
- Enter data into internal systems (equipment usage, repairs, costs, etc.)
- Manage emails, and assist with general office tasks
- Support shop operations with scheduling and coordination
- Prepare reports and assist management with administrative needs
Qualifications
- Previous administrative experience (construction or equipment-related experience a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a shop/construction environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with field and shop staff
- Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with construction equipment or fleet management
- Familiarity with service scheduling or maintenance tracking systems
