Summary
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Saw Operator to join our team at Mele & Mele & Sons, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for operating saws and other machinery to cut materials according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Ability to perform physical labor activities which includes, but is not limited to, lifting, pulling, pushing, and/or carrying different types of objects/materials.
- Perform tasks which may include concrete cutting on roadways, highway bridges, and other surfaces.
- Ability to interact with job site supervisors/customers.
- Inspection, general maintenance, and cleanliness of all company vehicles and equipment.
- Keeps the job site clean of all unused/waste materials and ensures all equipment is stored in a safe and secured.
- Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Concrete Saw Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate various machinery.
- Familiarity with quality inspection processes and standards.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
- Valid driver's license- Required.
- Up-To-Date DOT Medical Card - Required.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Mandatory three (3) years experience.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screens & background check, including MVR.
- Dependable, Reliable, Punctual, & Self Motivated.
- Must be a member of Local 1058 (Laborers Union).
