Role Description/CriteriaNazareth is seeking passionate a Learning Support Officer to join our dynamic school community. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes student growth, academic achievement and a love for learning.ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Immediate start (or subject to availability)
- Ability to work Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm is essential.
- Experience in secondary school setting preferred.
- Provide Evidence of Working With Children Check.
- An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students and colleagues.
- Working with students in the class setting, providing 1:1 instructional support.
- Providing support for a student’s academic learning, behaviour program, physical care, or social progress throughout the entirety of a school day.
- Assisting with the identification of student needs, skills and problems as they arise, and the evaluation of their progress, keeping the Learning Diversity Team informed at all times.
- Liaising with Education Support personnel and Teaching staff in order to maintain a comprehensive support program.
- An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students and colleagues.
- Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
- Undertaking various administrative duties.
- Provide evidence of the right to live and work in Australia.
- A willingness to support the Catholic identity of the College is essential.
