Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, such as ovens, mixers, and dishwashers, following proper procedures
- Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in accordance with food safety management protocols
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and assisting with guest needs to ensure a welcoming environment
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment while adhering to health and safety standards
- Execute dishwashing duties efficiently using commercial dishwashers or manual cleaning techniques to uphold sanitation standards
- Follow all food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with sanitation regulations
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and kitchen health standards is advantageous
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Strong knife skills or experience with food preparation techniques is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in busy environments
