Position Purpose: The Body Work / Collision Repair Specialist is responsible for repairing, restoring, and refinishing damaged fleet equipment, with a focus on heavy-duty Class 8 trucks and trailers. This role ensures all body and structural repairs meet company safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and quality expectations.
Job Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in body work and collision repair Experience with fiberglass repair and painting required Experience working on heavy-duty Class 8 trucks preferred High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in auto body/collision repair preferred
Essential Responsibilities: Perform structural and cosmetic repairs on trucks and trailers, including panels, frames, and components Repair and restore fiberglass components including hoods, fairings, and body panels Prepare surfaces and perform high-quality painting and refinishing work Assess damage and determine appropriate repair methods Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications Operate and maintain body shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently Maintain clean and organized work areas Document all work performed accurately on work orders Identify and report any additional damage or safety concerns Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure timely equipment turnaround Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills: Strong knowledge of collision repair techniques and refinishing processes Proficiency in fiberglass repair and paint application Familiarity with heavy-duty truck body structures and components preferred Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Ability to take direction and adapt to changing priorities Willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed Job
