Position Purpose:
The Division Controller is responsible for the integrity of the financials, forecast, and budgets over three business units (Meiborg Logistics, Meiborg Warehousing, Enterprise Diesel Solutions). Duties include working with business unit leaders driving growth and profitability for each division. Compiling financial reports based on financial statements and implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting. Ensures that internal controls are in place to protect assets, ensure the integrity of our financial statements, and facilitate the effective operation of all business functions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations for each of the respective business units
- Manage the forecast and budgeting process for each business unit
- Prepare customer mix margin reports vs forecast
- Proforma potential new warehousing buildings and calculate ROI
- Preparing pricing for customer request for pricing using inhouse pricing models
- Perform monthly financial close functions and statement preparation
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Perform general ledger analysis and reconciliation
- Oversee activities to ensure the accurate and timely management of billing
- Post accruals monthly, quarterly, and yearly
- Plan and participate in annual financial budget process
- Weekly adhoc reporting
- All other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to lead and train others
- Proven experience as a Controller
- Accounting managerial experience required
- Excellent account software user and administration skills
- Trucking industry experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- CPA and/or other professional certifications
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and related accounting software
- Excellent analytical skills
