Qualifications: Requires a classroom experience minimum of three years. Valid Missouri teaching certification. Certification in Education Technology Leader (CETL) preferred.
Position Summary: Collaborative and forward-thinking professional to bridge the gap between educational content and technical execution. Creative problem-solver who excels at translating complex technical requirements into actionable instructional strategies. You will leverage your strong interpersonal skills to build bridges between academic departments and IT, fostering a culture where data is used ethically and effectively to improve student outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Observe classroom instruction and meet with teachers to plan and evaluate instructional strategies.
- Research and model innovative instruction in classrooms and coach certified staff.
- Support staff in the implementation of artificial intelligence throughout the district.
- Oversee the Online Tool Approval process to review/approve requested online platforms to ensure compliance with student data privacy laws.
- Maintain district-approved online tools catalog and conduct annual audit.
- Communicate updates for approved online platforms.
- Research and facilitate data privacy agreements for the district using the Student Data Privacy Resource Registry.
- Support the Director of Data and Assessment.
- Support the Curriculum Team to maintain digital curriculum resources.
- Collaborate with the Curriculum Department to support effective technology integration throughout the district.
- Support effective use of district-approved educational tools (including but not limited to Google Apps for Education) and ensure teachers are informed of updates and new products as they become available.
- Collaborate with IT, as needed in issues related to data privacy, online safety, digital accessibility, curriculum tools and educational licenses.
- Work with various directors, and certified staff to design and deliver professional development.
- Proactively research emerging trends and best practices in educational technology to maintain a competitive edge. Evaluate and pilot new digital tools, providing evidence-based recommendations for classroom integration to key stakeholders.
- Support building principals in technology and innovation PD as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned related to instruction and data privacy.
