Senior DeltaV Engineer – Life Sciences | Raleigh, NC | Onsite
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DeltaV Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and project delivery of large-scale automation projects in the Life Sciences sector.
This role requires strong proficiency with Emerson DeltaV systems and a proven track record in managing full project lifecycles within regulated (cGMP) environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement DeltaV control systems for complex Life Sciences projects.
- Lead system architecture, batch sequencing, and control strategies for optimized production and regulatory compliance.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources from design through commissioning.
- Develop DeltaV graphics (Live & Operate) in alignment with ISA-101 HMI guidelines.
- Oversee integration of third-party equipment and advanced automation strategies (ISA-88 batch processing, historian integration).
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, GAMP5, and 21 CFR Part 11.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Travel up to 25% for on-site commissioning and client engagement.
Qualifications
- 8–15 years of hands-on DeltaV engineering experience.
- Expertise in DeltaV Live, Operate, ISA-88, and ISA-101 design principles.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA, Profibus).
- Proven experience in Life Sciences or other highly regulated industries.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.
