Executive Creative Director, Healthcare Advertising
Location: NYC, hybrid.
We’re working with a global, creatively led healthcare communications agency that is actively seeking an Executive Creative Director to lead the creative direction across US accounts and help shape the agency’s creative footprint stateside.
Reporting into the agency’s Founder, this is a senior, hands-on role suited to a highly conceptual creative leader with experience across HCP, DTC, and patient engagement campaigns. You’ll be the senior creative voice in the US, collaborating closely with colleagues across strategy, accounts, and medical to deliver insight-driven, award-worthy work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead creative development across US client accounts, ensuring work is strategically grounded, original, and beautifully crafted.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling campaigns across HCP, DTC, and patient audiences.
- Collaborate with senior creative leaders in the UK to ensure a consistent creative standard across global work.
- Provide conceptual leadership and hands-on creative direction from idea generation through to execution.
- Act as a key creative partner to clients, helping to define and elevate brand storytelling, messaging, and design.
- Play an active role in new business efforts, leading creative responses and presenting work with impact.
- Help shape the creative culture and ways of working as the US team continues to grow.
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Creative Director within a healthcare advertising agency, working with pharmaceutical companies.
- Art Direction or Copywriting background
- Strong portfolio showcasing standout, strategically led work across HCP, DTC, and patient communications.
- Excellent conceptual and storytelling ability, with a strong understanding of how to engage audiences across channels.
- Skilled at translating complex science into simple, human, and emotionally resonant creative ideas.
- Collaborative, confident, and credible in front of clients and internal teams.
- Strategic thinker who can balance creative ambition with business priorities.
