Phlebotomist (Spanish-Speaking Required)

Salary: $18 – $24 per hour (based on experience)

Medstaff Group is currently seeking an experienced and dependable Phlebotomist for a growing outpatient healthcare practice located in Riverhead, NY.

We are looking for someone who is professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient medical environment. The ideal candidate should have strong phlebotomy skills, experience handling and processing specimens correctly, and the ability to provide excellent patient care to a diverse patient population.

Spanish-speaking candidates are required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood draws accurately and efficiently

• Properly label, handle, and prepare laboratory specimens and vials

• Ensure all specimens are processed and documented correctly

• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment

• Assist with patient intake and basic clinical support when needed

• Work collaboratively with providers, medical assistants, and front desk staff

• Accurately document patient information within the EMR system

Requirements

• Previous phlebotomy experience required

• Strong experience with blood draws and specimen collection

• Knowledge of laboratory vials, specimen handling, and processing procedures

• Spanish-speaking required

• Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) is strongly preferred

• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning hours consistently
