Mobile Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Greater Albany Area, NY
Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Compensation: $35–$50 per hour

Position Overview

MedStaff Group is recruiting on behalf of a growing mobile diagnostic imaging organization seeking an experienced Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist to provide portable ultrasound services throughout the Greater Albany area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable sonographer who enjoys working independently, traveling between healthcare facilities, and delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging directly to patients. Candidates must be consistently available to work Thursday through Sunday .

Responsibilities

• Perform portable ultrasound examinations at multiple healthcare facilities throughout the Greater Albany area

• Obtain clear, high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient comfort and safety

• Perform general, abdominal, vascular, and other assigned ultrasound studies

• Accurately document completed examinations and submit studies for physician interpretation

• Communicate professionally with patients, nursing staff, facility administrators, and the operations team

• Travel between assigned facilities during scheduled shifts

• Maintain ultrasound equipment and follow all imaging protocols, infection-control procedures, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Active ARDMS certification required

• Experience performing multiple ultrasound modalities

• Strong patient care, communication, and documentation skills

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to travel between facilities throughout the Greater Albany area

• Ability to work independently in a mobile healthcare environment

• Must be available to work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Preferred Experience

• Vascular ultrasound

• Abdominal ultrasound

• General diagnostic ultrasound

• Portable or mobile imaging

• Experience working in skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, or outpatient settings

Compensation and Benefits
