About the Role
MedOp Solutions is partnering with a healthcare facility in Fishers, Indiana to hire an experienced LDRP Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment.
This role supports a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit, where nurses provide comprehensive, family-centered care throughout the childbirth experience—from labor through postpartum recovery. The RN will manage both maternal and newborn care, ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes in a collaborative clinical environment.
This opportunity is ideal for nurses experienced across the full continuum of obstetric care who are comfortable working in a dynamic, patient-focused setting.
Unit Overview
Unit: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Fishers
Patient Population: Obstetric patients and newborns
Care Model: Continuity of care from labor through postpartum
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor
Assist with vaginal deliveries and support cesarean sections as needed
Provide postpartum care and newborn assessments
Administer medications and implement care plans
Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions accurately
Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards
Required Qualifications
Active RN license (state-specific or compact eligibility)
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
NRP certification required
STABLE certification required
Fetal Monitoring certification required
Minimum 1–2 years of LDRP or Labor & Delivery experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Scheduling & Expectations
3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
36 hours per week
Every third weekend rotation
Rotating holiday requirements
On-call requirements as scheduled
