What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Pharmacy Technician position at MedMinder?
Position Summary
Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for communicating directly with our patients and escalating issues to a pharmacist as needed. All Pharmacy Technicians work under the supervision of the pharmacist.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Receive and stock drug products and pharmacy supplies in compliance with DSCSA.
- Reconcile drug orders and report discrepancies to the Inventory Supervisor.
- Assist in pharmacy store inventories.
- Execute high volume production workflow.
- Process the fulfillment of orders to client specifications.
- Work with our state-of-the-art Synmed and VBM automation.
- Contact patients to review orders on a monthly basis.
- Perform proactive outreach to physician offices for prescriptions and/or refills.
- Conduct data entry and insurance verification in Pharmacy software.
- Resolve insurance rejections.
- Assist in answering incoming patient calls when needed.
- Resolve customer concerns in a professional and caring manner.
- Support the Shipping team with packaging medications for delivery.
Additional Duties:

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
- Massachusetts Licensed Pharmacy Technician (Preferred)
- Previous Pharmacy Tech experience (Preferred)
- Pharmacy Tech Trainee licenses are considered.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail
- Critical thinker, with great organizational skills & time management.
- The ability to clearly communicate challenges and escalate issues when needed.
- Strong work ethic and desire to support MedMinder’s patients.
- Experience working as part of a team as well as the ability to work independently
- Regular Attendance on-site is required
