Position Summary

Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for communicating directly with our patients and escalating issues to a pharmacist as needed. All Pharmacy Technicians work under the supervision of the pharmacist.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Receive and stock drug products and pharmacy supplies in compliance with DSCSA.
  • Reconcile drug orders and report discrepancies to the Inventory Supervisor.
  • Assist in pharmacy store inventories.
  • Execute high volume production workflow.
  • Process the fulfillment of orders to client specifications.
  • Work with our state-of-the-art Synmed and VBM automation.
  • Contact patients to review orders on a monthly basis.
  • Perform proactive outreach to physician offices for prescriptions and/or refills.
  • Conduct data entry and insurance verification in Pharmacy software.
  • Resolve insurance rejections.
  • Assist in answering incoming patient calls when needed.
  • Resolve customer concerns in a professional and caring manner.
  • Support the Shipping team with packaging medications for delivery.

  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
  • Massachusetts Licensed Pharmacy Technician (Preferred)
  • Previous Pharmacy Tech experience (Preferred)
  • Pharmacy Tech Trainee licenses are considered.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail
  • Critical thinker, with great organizational skills & time management.
  • The ability to clearly communicate challenges and escalate issues when needed.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to support MedMinder’s patients.
  • Experience working as part of a team as well as the ability to work independently
  • Regular Attendance on-site is required

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
