Work Schedule:
Services shall be provided four (4) times a week for fours (4) hours a day for 29 weeks throughout the school year and coordinated with the school. After mandated compensatory minutes are satisfied, the Physical Therapist will be reduced. Service shall occur onsite or digitally as determined
Duties
- Assesses students’ physical abilities (e.g., gross motor development, range of motion, gait training, positioning skills etc.) for the purpose of determining their physical deficits and developing recommendations
- Consults with teachers, parents, other personnel and/or outside professionals for the purpose of providing requested information, developing plans for services and/or making recommendations
- Instruct students for the purpose of implementing goals for re-mediation of physical deficits
- Participate in meetings: IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings for the purpose of developing plans and/or providing information regarding student’s functional goals
- Prepare documentation (e.g., evaluations, observations, progress, contacts with parents, teachers, and outside professionals, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support, developing recommendations and/or conveying information
- Present information on various topics related to area of professional expertise or the purpose of communicating information and gaining feedback on treatment issues
- Research resources and methods (i.e., intervention and treatment techniques, assessment tools and methods, community resources, etc.) for the purpose of determining appropriate approach for students’ physical therapist services
- Screen students for the purpose of determining and assessment according to laws regarding minority non-discriminatory practices
KEY PERSONNEL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- EDUCATION: Master’s degree in physical therapy
- EXPERIENCE : 2 years of experience, preferably with Native American students
- CERTIFICATION(S): Certificate of Clinical Competence in Physical Therapist
- LICENSE(S): State license
Pay: $46.89 - $56.46 per hour
