What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN-Trauma Care Consultant position at Medlinkhealth?
Overview: The Mississippi State Department of Health is seeking for a Registered Nurse(s) (RN) to complete trauma level designation surveys and provide trauma system consulting expertise. The contract is estimated to begin on upon execution and end on for a period of five years.
Trauma System RN duties include, but are not limited to the following:
A. Consult on trauma system development issues: 1. Review and make recommendations on the continued development of the Mississippi trauma care regulations
2. Assist with the developing and improving criteria for trauma center inspections
3. Assist with the educational workshops related to trauma system development
B. Consult on trauma care plans
1. Review and make recommendations on regional trauma care plans
2. Review and make recommendations on state trauma care plans
3. Assist with educational workshops and related trauma plan development
4. Participate in educational opportunities for trauma care regional development
C. Participate in trauma center inspection teams
1. Participate in trauma center and/or burn center inspections
2. Participate in trauma center audits
3. Assist with education workshops related to trauma center program development
D. Consult on MSDH/BACS trauma policy and regulations
1. Identify outdated and/or incorrect information based on current law
2. Assist in developing current BACS trauma policy and regulations
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a Trauma Program Director/Manager providing services for a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a Level I–III Trauma Center.
Required Certification: A valid license from a nursing board or authority.
Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour

- Level I–III Trauma Center: 10 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- A valid RN license from a nursing board or authority. (Required)
- BLS (AHA) Certification (Required)
