Risk Management Specialist responsible for supporting global insurance programs and risk control initiatives at Medline. Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify, measure, and manage insurable risks in alignment with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of Medline's insurance and risk management programs by working with third-party service providers, including brokers, insurers, consultants, and TPAs, to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Analyze and review data for insurance renewals, providing recommendations for policy updates and alterations as necessary.
- Maintain and enhance the company's risk management exposure information using Medline's Risk Management Information System (RMIS).
- Coordinate loss control programs between Medline and insurance carriers to reduce risk and improve business practices.
- Compile required information for complex claims submissions and work closely with adjusters to ensure accurate and prompt payment.
- Mentor and train new analysts on risk processes and goals, supporting broader risk management services.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field, and at least 3 years of experience.
- High school diploma and at least 7-10 years of experience in Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and completion skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 15% for business purposes.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Certification in ARM (Associate in Risk Management)
- Intermediate skill level in SAP
- Risk Management experience in a corporate environment or working with insurance brokers
- Experience with Origami Risk
- Prior experience in the healthcare or life sciences industries
