Job Summary
This role plans, directs and coordinates lean initiatives for the division. Responsibilities:

It promotes and leads lean six-sigma competencies and acts as a facilitator for company-wide initiatives between functional groups/regions for opportunities to resolve gaps. The goal is to drive sustained improvements in core quality metrics of People, Compliance, Quality, and Cost.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sustained improvements in core quality metrics of People, Compliance, Quality, and Cost.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by teaching, coaching, and fostering an organization of problem solvers.
- Lead and oversee comprehensive program management initiatives, ensuring the successful execution and continuous improvement of process enhancement projects, while aligning with organizational goals.
- Partner with key Quality leaders to implement sustainable process improvement initiatives utilizing a DMAIC approach and superior project management skills.
- Facilitate targeted workshops with Quality teams to rapidly address opportunities while boosting engagement.
- Develop program and project success metrics, analyze progress and applicable cost savings realization, and calculate ROI prior to recommending projects. Communicate results with management.
- Assertiveness, organized, team player, ability to influence and work self-directed.
- Experience with indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other members of a team.
- Skilled at identifying process issues and cost savings opportunities, recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
- Project and Program Management experience including planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Expertise in Root Cause Analysis Experience and experience with Microsoft Suite, MS Visio, MS Project, Minitab or data analysis.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in continuous or process Improvement OR High school diploma and at least 9 years of experience in continuous or process improvement within a distribution, manufacturing or transportation environment.
- Certified in one of the following disciplines: Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
- Prior history in a distribution, transportation or manufacturing environment with hands-on knowledge of relevant systems.
- Hands-on experience in Lean Six Sigma or TPM Leadership abilities; assertiveness, organized, team player, ability to influence and work self-directed.
- Experience with indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other members of a team.
- Skilled at identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
- Project Management experience (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
- Expertise in Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, MS Visio, MS Project, Minitab. ERP systems experience.
- Position requires travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering (or other Engineering subject area)
- Knowledge of Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Quality System Regulations (QSR), and International Organization of Standardization (ISO).
- Experience with SAP.
