Staff Pharmacist (Atlanta, GA)

Responsibilities

• Order Entry & Verification: Verify transcribed orders, review/manage medication regimens for institutional patients, and perform data entry (answering phone calls, verifying data entry after oneself).
• Final Product Verification (PB2): Perform final product verification prior to delivery to ensure safe packaging and correctness.
• Patient & Therapy Monitoring: Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriate dosage; monitor insurance adjudication/medication costs; suggest cost-effective alternatives when appropriate.
• Packaging & Customer Service: Package medications and handle routine customer service/pharmacy operations in a quiet, non-retail setting.
• Staff Support & Supervision: Supervise and assist pharmacy technicians (currently 4 full-time technicians) and support staff; maintain controlled substance records and regulatory compliance.

Public - Required Skills

• Active GA Pharmacist license
• 2 years of pharmacist experience, preferably in LTC

Public - Preferred Skills

• Experience using Framework LTC software
• LTC Pharmacy experience

Public - Schedule/Shift

Monday - Friday

9:30am - 6pm

Saturday (rotating schedule, 1-2 shifts a month) 10am - 3pm

• Pharmacist working Saturday takes after-hours on-call duty for the following week (adds 3 hours of pay to payroll for being on-call)

Closed on Sunday's and all major holidays
