What You'll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you'll play an important role in keeping the clinic running smoothly while supporting patients, providers, and fellow team members.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Greeting patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion

• Supporting providers and clinical staff with day-to-day patient care

• Measuring vital signs and assisting with clinical procedures

• Drawing blood samples and conducting diagnostic tests as applicable

• Screening and appropriately directing telephone calls and inquiries

• Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments, exams, and testing

• Providing patients with appointment instructions and answering routine questions

• Completing and updating patient registration information

• Maintaining accurate medical records, charts, files, and logs

• Providing clerical and administrative support in the medical office

• Managing correspondence, forms, and documentation

• Ordering and maintaining office and clinical supplies

• Protecting patient confidentiality and maintaining HIPAA compliance

• Working independently while collaborating effectively with the broader care team

• Performing additional duties as directed by leadership

Required Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma required

• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required

• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent customer service skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Reliable and punctual

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Assisting and/or graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program

• Current, unrestricted Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification, where applicable

• 3 years of relevant clinical experience in areas such as:

  • Primary Care

  • Family Care

  • Internal Medicine

  • Occupational Health

  • Urgent Care
