Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide clinical coverage. The practice is looking for a dependable and experienced CMA who can step into the role quickly and provide consistent clinical support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on pediatric experience, particularly administering immunizations to children of all ages, including infants.

Location: Newark, Deleware

This is a temporary position covering an employee on leave. Position will last until the end of the year and potentially January.

Key Responsibilities

• Room pediatric patients and prepare them for provider visits
• Administer immunizations to pediatric patients of all ages, including infants
• Perform and document vision screenings
• Perform and document hearing screenings
• Obtain and record patient information and vital signs as appropriate
• Assist providers and clinical staff with day-to-day patient care
• Support the clinical workflow of a busy pediatric office
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Provide a welcoming and professional experience for pediatric patients and their families
• Follow all established clinical, safety, and infection-control procedures

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Previous experience administering immunizations
• Pediatric clinical experience
• Experience rooming pediatric patients
• Experience completing vision and hearing screenings
• Previous experience working in a pediatrician's office or pediatric clinical setting
