Registered Nurse - Pre/Post Op
Edmonds, WA
An Outpatient Surgery Clinic in Edmonds is looking for a Registered Nurse to join their team. This is a close, tight- knit team of 9 total RNs.
Duration: 3–6 Month Contract (Maternity Leave Coverage): While this is 3–6 month coverage, there is potential for long-term consideration should permanent openings arise during your contract.
Schedule: 4x10s | Variable Starts (6:30, 7:00, or 8:00 AM) No Weekends, No Holidays, No Nights
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in both Pre-Operative and Post-Anesthesia Care units.
Manage a caseload of approximately 20 cases per day across general surgery, urology, ENT, and heavy orthopedic/joint procedures.
Collaborate closely with a small, team-oriented staff to ensure seamless patient transitions.
Utilize Epic for all clinical documentation and charting.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Proven experience in a Pre-Op and/or PACU setting is required.
Clinical Proficiency: Comfort with Total Joint/Orthopedic and Heavy Ortho/GYN procedures is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Epic charting is required (no external training provided).
Adaptability: Must be able to "jump right in" with minimal orientation and rotate between early (Pre-Op) and later (PACU) shift starts.
Mindset: A team-first attitude and the ability to maintain a positive, supportive culture.
Pay:
$40 - $55 an hour (Dependant on experience)
