Insurance Verification Specialist

• High-Volume Verification: Verify a minimum of 50 patient accounts per day across two surgery centers, maintaining a schedule that looks at least one week in advance while checking for last-minute schedule add-ons.
• Patient & Provider Communication: Contact patients and doctor's offices immediately if any insurance discrepancies arise. Clearly communicate financial responsibilities and set up payment arrangements prior to the patient's arrival to ensure a seamless front-desk experience.
• Patient Education: Patiently educate individuals on basic insurance terms, explaining what their deductibles, co-pays, and out-of-pocket responsibilities mean in a supportive manner.
• Account Documentation: Meticulously notate and document all account updates, verification details, and communication logs within the system.
• Cross-Coverage & Flexibility: Provide coverage for team members when they are out. Maintain the flexibility and willingness to be trained in other administrative areas to support the department as needed. (Claim follow-up, payment posting, charge entry)
