We are seeking a Behavioral Clinician to serve as an internal consultant supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and co-occurring mental health needs. This is not a traditional direct care role — you will focus on coaching staff, strengthening behavioral supports, and building organizational capacity.
What You’ll Do
- Provide side-by-side coaching and training to staff teams
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA)
- Develop and update positive behavior support plans
- Respond to behavioral incidents with recommendations and prevention strategies
- Support crisis intervention and post-incident debriefing
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve participant outcomes
- Use data to guide decision-making and quality improvement
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Psychology, Social Work, ABA, Special Education, Counseling, OT, or related field
- Active licensure or certification (BCBA, LCSW, OTR/L, BCaBA, or equivalent)
- 3–5 years’ experience supporting individuals with IDD and/or mental health needs
- Experience developing behavior support plans and coaching staff
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and evidence-based behavioral practices
Schedule & Travel
- Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings/weekends
- Regular travel to community and residential program sites
- Ability to support participants physically during crisis situations when necessary
