Job Title: Telecom / Cable Technician - ONSITE
Location: Onsite, Monday - Friday - Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 5 months - through December 31, 2026 - possible extension
Compensation: $28 / hour W2

ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THE ROLE
Medix is currently seeking a Telecom / Cable Technician for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our healthcare clients in the Milwaukee area. Our client is a large health system currently going through a company-wide VoIP refresh. This Technician will assist by unboxing, setting up and validating the new IP Phones, and handling basic cable patching / cable panel management (66 and 110 wiring punch down blocks).
Please note that the work location for this role is onsite Monday - Friday, in Milwaukee
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working in a hospital setting
- Unboxing and deploying new IP phones
- Connecting phones to the network switches
- Running and connecting area cabling (CAT6)
- Managing 66 and 110 wiring punch down blocks
- Testing /validating connections
- Running / managing clean and efficient cabling in the closets and data centers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years professional experience in setting up VoIP Phones
- Ethernet Cabling (66/110)
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

Please note, this role will require the physical requirements of being able to lift up to 25lbs, and navigate cabling
Salary : $26 - $28
