Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to assist with a Windows 11 upgrade and desktop imaging refresh across our organization. The ideal candidate will bring over 5 years of hands-on IT support experience, with a strong background in operating system upgrades and desktop deployment processes. This position will be a 4 month long contract and will be on-site 5 days per week in Lewisville, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support the migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 across enterprise environments
- Evaluate, update, and troubleshoot desktop imaging processes
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth deployment with minimal user disruption
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and configurations
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise during upgrades
- Provide end-user support during and after the upgrade process
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5 years of IT support or desktop engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience with Windows 11 upgrades in enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of desktop imaging and refresh best practices
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience using JIRA for task tracking or IT project management
- Familiarity with Active Directory for user/computer management
