Position Overview
The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides high-quality nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures. The RN functions as a circulating and/or scrub nurse and plays a key role in ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile techniques, and supporting the surgical team in delivering optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established patient care plans and protocols.
- Serve as a circulating and/or scrub nurse during surgical procedures.
- Administer medications safely and accurately following facility and federal guidelines.
- Adhere to all infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all facility and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse.
- Active RN license in South Carolina or valid multi-state compact license.
- BLS certification (required).
- COVID-19 vaccination, seasonal flu vaccination, and TB/PPD test (required).
- Must successfully complete a federal background check and drug screening.
- U.S. citizenship required for federal employment eligibility.
Training and Orientation
- One (1) day of on-site training provided prior to assignment start.
- Ongoing support from Medical Staffing 360 and facility leadership throughout your assignment.
