Pharmacy Technician – Specialty Pharmacy (Full-Time)

Location: Boston, MA 02115
Schedule: Monday–Friday, rotating shifts between 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
Closed weekends and national holidays

An exciting opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to join a Specialty Pharmacy team in Boston, MA. This pharmacy specializes in Oncology, MS, Hepatitis, HIV, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Transplant, and Gastrointestinal diseases.

The Pharmacy Technician will assist in processing prescriptions, managing refills, coordinating patient deliveries, and providing outstanding customer support. This role is ideal for someone motivated, dependable, empathetic, and passionate about supporting patient care in a specialty pharmacy environment.

What You’ll Do

• Process and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Handle refill requests, set up patient deliveries, and answer incoming calls
• Assist with prior authorizations, copay assistance, and benefits verification
• Provide friendly and professional customer service to a diverse patient base
• Support pharmacists with daily workflow, ensuring compliance with all regulations
• Assist customers with inquiries and provide technical advice on specialty products
• Maintain and restock inventory, organize displays, and process POS transactions
• Collaborate with pharmacy and retail team members to ensure smooth operations
• Track key sales metrics and contribute to improving customer service outcomes
• Perform basic troubleshooting or provide guidance to customers as needed

Required Qualifications

• 1 years of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Valid Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Massachusetts
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• National Certification: PTCB or ExCPT
• Previous Specialty Pharmacy experience
