Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for healthy, chronically ill, and acutely ill individuals, focusing on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, including appointments, hospitalizations, discharge planning, and changes in patient condition.
- Manage medications, physician orders, nursing documentation, and required health records while ensuring medication safety and infection control.
- Supervise LPNs/LVNs and unlicensed staff, provide employee training, and ensure compliance with individualized care plans and safety policies.
- Maintain accurate nursing notes, monitor patient health status, and coordinate timely interventions to promote patient safety and continuity of care.
